About the role:
BetMGM is looking for a People Business Partner (HRBP) who will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management, specifically in the Retail space. The ideal candidate will take a lead role, from a people perspective, on new sportsbook openings. The position partners across the People (HR) team to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the values and business objectives of the organization. This People Business Partner (HRBP) will maintain an effective level of business acumen and understanding around the business's mid-range and long-range plans, its culture and its competition.

What you'll do:
  • Actively engage with functional leaders on a weekly basis to support any people related matters
  • Acts as lead support any retail-related employee integrations; owns launches of new retail locations in partnership with local staff and Talent Acquisition
  • Provide HR guidance and consultation to people managers when appropriate
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the broader HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Collaborate with our Employee Relations team with all employee relation matters. This can include assisting with investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal & compliance teams as needed/required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions); guides people managers / leaders through the business's performance management philosophies
  • Partners with functional leads to determine organizational changes that need to be made and develop effective change management / communication plans
  • Develop standardized approaches to change management to be used by the broader HR team
  • Works closely with people leaders, managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Identifies training needs for business units; participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Provide guidance to people managers and employees around internal mobility opportunities
  • Ensures the company values are properly embedded across all parts of the business
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR Business Partnering experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and excellent communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with hourly employee populations.
  • Experience in employee relations and performance management
  • Able to work on property, and travel to other properties on the strip 5 days a week.
  • Detail Oriented & Strong Organizational Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
