Position Description

Physician - UC - Per Diem (Rancho)-329453

Description

Diagnoses and treats patients of moderate acuity, generally on an episodic basis, in a `walk-in? or other outpatient context, distinct from Emergency Medicine in a hospital ER.

Evaluates diagnoses, stabilizes and treats disease without limitation to special organ systems or regions of the body in response to moderately acute illness or injury. This care is provided on an episodic, not ongoing, basis, and does not replace the care received from a primary care provider at a health care center.

Qualifications

- Post-graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience.
Knowledge: Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of ailments in patients of all ages.

Skills/Abilities: Ability to read, write, and clearly speak English, bilingual skills are a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and basic computer skills are essential.

Experience: Must have completed a 3 year ACGME accredited residency program in Family Practice or Internal Medicine, and must be either board eligible or board certified in their specialty: American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) for allopathic physicians or the American Board of Osteopathic Specialties (ABOS) for osteopathic physicians.

Must have completed Medical School, Residency program, USMLE exam, and be board eligible or board certified for either the American Board of Medical Specialties (MDs) or the American Board of Osteopathic Specialties (DOs).
